Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Wildcat covered bridge, Highway 126
and Siuslaw River Road (the old homestead of Ira Jeffers).
From Eugene, take Highway 126 west toward Mapleton. At
approximately mile marker 27.5, turn left on Siuslaw River Road.
From Mapleton to Eugene, turn right at approximately mile
marker 26.5 on Siuslaw River Road. Look for
signs with balloons for your turnoff.
Bring lawn chairs and favorite food dish to share.
Eat around noon.

MARRIAGES IN TRIBAL COURT
Tribal Court is now issuing marriage licenses and is able to
perform marriage ceremonies for a filing fee of $40.

Take a Veteran Fishing
event set for July
The Take a Soldier Fishing organization is planning its eighth
annual Take a Veteran Fishing event on Friday and Saturday, July
12-13, at Shelter Cove Resort on Odell Lake, which is 62 miles east
of Eugene in Crescent.
The event also welcomes disabled veterans and recently returned
veterans from overseas deployment. The event is drug- and alco-
hol-free and fishing tackle will be provided.
It is limited to 55 veterans; family members are welcome, but boat
spaces will be assigned only to veterans.

Transportation can be arranged from Vancouver, Portland, Salem
and Eugene. Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Sun-
day breakfast will be provided.

The Eula Petite competitive scholarship was established and
dedicated to long time Tribal Member educator Eula Petite. This
award is made to a enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of
Grand Ronde attending on a full time basis at an accredited non-
profit college or university at the Undergraduate or Graduate level.
This is a “One Time” scholarship award where the recipient will
receive a laptop computer.
