A crew from Anderson Erosion Control of Junction City prepare an area along
Highway 22, just east of the Highway 130 junction, on Monday, May 20. A
failing culvert under the highway will be replaced starting on May 31 and
cause closures over the summer.
Culvert project to
affect Oregon 22 traffic
A culvert replacement project at Sourgrass Creek will cause traffic delays
on Oregon 22 between Hebo and Grand Ronde beginning on the weekend
of Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2.
The project will replace a failing culvert with a bridge on Oregon 22
near milepost 11.3, about three-quarters of a mile east of Dolph Junction
at Oregon 130. Construction will require single lane closures and 24-hour
traffic control by flaggers.
There currently are four weekend closures scheduled that will run from
7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday during the following weekends: May
31 to June 2, June 7-9, June 14-16 and Oct. 25-27 (for final paving work).
Weekend closures are complete closures with no through traffic. The
contractor can close the road for two additional weekends if necessary.
During the closures, traffic will be detoured using U.S. 101 and Oregon 18.
Variable message signs will be posted at various locations to warn trav-
elers of the construction and potential delays.
For updates on traffic, visit www.TripCheck.com or call 511.
