Book review: “The Obsession” by Nora Roberts. Naomi Bowes had her world changed forever the night she followed her father into the woods. Naomi uncovers the horrific crimes her father has committed when she rescues a trapped girl from a root cellar. Naomi has finally found a place to call home. She’s made new friends, has a fresh romance blooming and success as a photographer. Naomi is thinking she has finally overcome her past, but she soon learns that no matter how far she goes, she can’t escape the evil sins of her father. Roberts creates Naomi’s character with heart and a strong will. You will root for her to triumph and succeed throughout her hard times. Roberts surrounds Naomi with supportive characters to add in friendship, love and lightheartedness. Roberts keeps the mystery flowing throughout the novel, making you want to keep turning pages to find out how the story will end. – Reviewed by Library Aide Crystal Bigelow Donations: Our thanks to Don Grishaber, Devin Mercier, Dakota Ross, Margo Mercier, Jim Clements, Frank Hostler and Don Day for their donations to the Tribal Library’s collection.
