Youth Prevention Corner
With 2018 coming to a close, the Youth Prevention Team wanted
to say “hayu masi” for another great year!
Our team has participated in so many wonderful community events
with our youth and families and look forward to many more in 2019.
Here are just a few of our highlights from 2018: Family Movie
Night, Maple Bark Skirt project, Native Youth Wellness Day, 16th
annual Agency Creek Round Dance, Canoe Camp, Warrior Camp,
gift making workshops, Canoe Journey, End-of-Summer BBQ,
participation in Red Ribbon Day at Willamina High School, and
we look forward to ending our year with our annual New Year’s
Eve Sobriety Event.
We could not have put on these wonderful family friendly events
without the collaboration of other departments and our outside part-
ner agencies. Hayu masi to all those that have partnered with us;
we are grateful for your continued commitment to the community.
We look forward to more events, trips and trainings in 2019 that
work toward our goal of strengthening families and youth through
prevention, culture and healing.
Happy Holidays to all of our members and families.
