Road.
• Driving complaint received in the area of milepost 18 on Salmon
River Highway.
• Citizen contact occurred in the area of milepost 21 on Salmon
River Highway.
• Assist outside agency with a reported physical altercation in the
8600 block of Fort Hill Road. The involved subjects departed from
the location before law enforcement offi cers arrived.
• Assist outside agency with a reported motor home fi re in the area
of E and Main streets in Willamina.
Sunday, August 26
• Assist outside agency with a reported abandoned vehicle in the
27000 block of Andy Riggs Road.
• Suspicious activity reported in the 27000 block of Salmon River
Highway.
• Assist outside agency with reported suspicious conditions in the
23000 block of Yamhill River Road.
• Assist outside agency regarding suspicious activity and reckless
burning in the 200 block of Washington Street in Willamina.
• Citizen contact occurred in the 8700 block of Grand Ronde Road.
• Assist outside agency with a reported domestic disturbance in the
27000 block of Andy Riggs Road.
• Assist outside agency with a report of an in-progress burglary of
a residence located in the 600 block of Northwest Fifth Street in
Willamina.
• Assist outside agency with a reported possible burglary in prog-
ress in the 100 block of Northwest Main Street in Willamina.

Former Grand Ronde resident SuSun Fish-
er has been named female co-president of the
United National Indian Tribal Youth’s National
Unity Conference Executive Committee.
Fisher, 19, is a member of the Confederated
Tribes of Siletz Indians, but is originally from
Grand Ronde. She previously served as the 2016-
17 Northwest representative of the Executive
Committee.
Fisher is attending the University of New
Mexico in Albuquerque where she is studying
to obtain a bachelor’s degree in political science.
Fisher served as female co-president of the
SuSun Fisher
Siletz Youth Council and her work with UNITY
started when she was 14 when she was named a “25 Under 25” award
recipient. In 2014, she was a White House Tribal Youth Ambassador and
in 2015 was named a UNITY Earth Ambassador.
Fisher is a descendant of the Tom/Norwest/Riggs families. She graduated
from Chemawa Indian School in 2017. n
