The Grand Ronde Canoe
Family hosted a Canoe Paddle
Camp held at Willamette Park
in West Linn Friday through
Sunday, June 15-17. It was an
opportunity for participants to prepare for the Canoe Jour-
ney in July and for people who have never been in a canoe to
learn. The camp was open to all Grand Ronde Tribal mem-
bers and their families. In addition to paddling, there were
cultural activities and protocol and dance practice.
