‘Flute Medicine’ wins
One Word Music Award
“Flute Medicine,” the most recent compact disc
released by Tribal Lands Manager and multiple
Native American Music Awards recipient Jan
Michael Looking Wolf Reibach, was named the
Best Native American Album of 2017 at the One
World Music Awards on Saturday, June 2.
One World Music is the No. 1 radio station in
Europe that plays ambient and instrumental
music.
The release also recently received the Best
Instrumental Album of the Year awarded at the
13th annual Indigenous Music Awards handed out May 18 in Winnipeg,
Manitoba, Canada.
“‘Flute Medicine’ embodies the most pure, connective musical expressions
with the Native American flute that I’ve been blessed to make,” Reibach
said. “The inspiration for my music comes from being part of our amazing
Tribe. I share this honor with each of you.”
“Flute Medicine,” recorded in 432 hertz, was the topic of a Smoke Signals
