Book Review: “Stranger in the House” by Shari Lapena.
Imagine coming home from work to your front door being unlocked
and seeing your wife’s purse and phone on the counter, but she is
nowhere to be found.
Then a police officer shows up at the front door saying your wife
has been in an accident. Rushing to the hospital worried sick, you
find out your wife remembers nothing about what she had been doing
before she ran her car into a utility pole.
A doctor says she is suffering from amnesia and the police simply
think your wife was up to no good. Evidence starts to say that your
wife was at an old, abandoned restaurant where a dead body was
found. You cannot believe what the police are saying because your
wife is perfect. Then your wife’s best friend tries to get you to turn
against her, but why?
In this thrilling novel, Lapena twists and turns almost every ounce
of what you think is the truth into something crazier. — by Kayla
Grijalva
