• Reported illegal harvesting of forest products in the area of Big
Buck Campground. Male subjects were contacted and had valid
permits.
• Motorist assist in the 100 block of Wind River Drive.
• Reported theft in the 27100 block of Salmon River Highway.
• Single vehicle injury crash in the area of milepost 21 on Salmon
River Highway. Male subject was transported to Salem Health
for non-life threatening injuries.

ing custodial interference. Child was returned to a residence
located in West Salem.

subject was issued a citation to appear on the criminal charge of
theft in the third degree.

River Highway. Vehicle was located in Dallas and the male oper-
ator was arrested for DUII (alcohol) and transported to the Polk
County Jail in Dallas.

hicles were transported to Salem Health for treatment of injuries.

operator was arrested for DUII (alcohol) after providing a breath
sample of .15 percent blood alcohol concentration.

Male operator was arrested for DUII (alcohol) after providing a
breath sample of .09 percent blood alcohol concentration.

Highway.

Submissions wanted
AMERICAN INDIAN TEACHER PROGRAM
“Honoring Our Rivers,” a project of the Portland-based conservation
nonprofit Willamette Partnership, is accepting student submissions of
art, photography, poetry and writing, including works in languages other
than English, for the upcoming edition of its publication.
Entries should reflect the student’s connection to rivers or their water-
shed. Submissions are open to students in kindergarten through college.
The anthology will be distributed across the state of Oregon to libraries,
partner organizations and participating schools.
The upcoming edition also will include a featured section dedicated to
celebrating the different Tribes in the Pacific Northwest and their connec-
tions to rivers. The intention is to increase awareness and appreciation of
Native culture, history, language and arts, particularly as they relate to
Pacific Northwest waterways and watersheds, through student art and
creative writing. Deadline to submit items is Earth Day – Sunday, April 22.
