Tribal Elder Christine
Contreras patiently waits to
catch a fish during the Elders
Fishing Trip at Hebo Lake in
Hebo on Thursday, Sept. 21.
Regardless of the lake being
stocked with 100 rainbow
trout the same day as the
fishing trip, it was a slow day
for catching fish. This was the
second of two fishing trips of
the year that are sponsored
by the Tribe’s Fish & Wildlife
Committee. Additional staff
from the Natural Resources
Department and Community
Health Program also helped at
the event.
