Tribal IDs now acceptable
to buy alcohol, marijuana
SALEM — The Oregon Liquor Control Commission has officially
ruled that an unexpired and unaltered identification card issued by
a federally recognized Indian Tribe with a photo, name and date of
birth can be used to purchase alcohol or marijuana items.
The change came after a Tribal member made a request to Sen.
Ted Ferrioli’s office and it was included in Senate Bill 1057, which
provided the commission with more power to enforce state marijua-
na laws. Ferrioli is a Republican from John Day and serves on the
Legislative Commission on Indian Services.
The change became official on Aug. 10 and increases the validity of
Tribal government-issued identification.
St. Michael’s offers brunch

following Mass. The brunch is free to the community. Brunch begins at
about 11:30 a.m. following the 10:30 a.m. Mass.
Mass attendance is not required for brunch attendance. For more infor-
mation, contact Janelle Justen at 503-550-0923.
