Sunday, Feb. 26
• Tribal police assisted Oregon State Police with two crashes on Salmon
River Highway. Both were vehicles that crashed in the ditch due to snow
conditions.
• A woodcutting complaint was received. Tribal police investigated and
found the woodcutters had permits.
• Tribal police were requested by Polk County deputies to assist with an
investigation in the 26000 block of Salmon River Highway.
• A Polk County deputy requested Tribal police assist with a DUII investi-
gation.
• A driving complaint was called in regarding a DUII driver who had parked
in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway. Tribal police investigated
and did not locate the vehicle where it was reported.
• Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office deputies requested Tribal police respond
to Sheridan as backup regarding a subject armed with a hatchet. The
request was cancelled before the officer could arrive.
Monday, Feb. 27
• Tribal police were again requested as backup for Yamhill County deputies
in Sheridan for the same armed subject. Tribal police responded and
assisted Yamhill County Sheriff’s deputies with the call.
• A phone call was received from a Tribal member in the Eugene area
wanting to report a malicious prosecution. The issue was investigated
and found to not be a matter under the jurisdiction of the Confederated
Tribes of Grand Ronde. The Tribal member was directed back to Lane
County authorities for additional information.
• Tribal police continued to investigate a theft that had occurred in November
2016. A suspect was identified and arrested.
• Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Ronde Tribal police and other agencies
investigated an identity theft case.
• Tribal Police assisted Grand Ronde Child & Family Services with a welfare
check on a minor.
• A vehicle was located parked on Tribal property. Tribal police responded
and located the owners, who were advised that they needed to remove
the vehicle from Tribal property.
• A domestic disturbance was reported in a vehicle on the highway. Tribal
police located the vehicle and determined no crime had occurred.
• A theft of an iPhone was reported in the 27000 block of Salmon River
Highway. Tribal police located the suspect. After an investigation, the
suspect was arrested and the iPhone recovered.
Tuesday, Feb. 28
• A theft of a wallet and cash was reported in the 27000 block of Salmon
River Highway. Tribal police responded and located the suspect. After an
investigation, the wallet and cash were returned to the victim.
• Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Grand Ronde Tribal police responded to
the 8000 block of Grand Ronde Road for report of an assault. A female
was arrested for disorderly conduct.
• Multiple false alarms were received.
• A vehicle was reported stolen. Tribal police investigated and determined
no crime was committed at this time.
• A stalking complaint was received in the 9000 block of Tilixam Circle.
• Methamphetamine was located in the 27000 block of Salmon River High-
way. Tribal police are investigating.
• A male with multiple felony warrants was located in the 27000 block of
Salmon River Highway. When Tribal police attempted to approach and
take him into custody, the male ran and jumped into a waiting getaway
vehicle. Police are investigating.
Wednesday, March 1
• A citizen called Tribal police to request information on the trespass pro-
cess. An officer assisted her with the information.
• Tribal police arrested a subject on an outstanding arrest warrant out of
Newberg.
Thursday, March 2
• Tribal police continued to investigate multiple cases.
• Multiple driving complaints were called in on Salmon River Highway.
• Tribal police assisted Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies with a suicidal
subject in the 28000 block of Salmon River Highway. Police and medics
assisted the subject.
• A disturbance was called in to Tribal police in the area of Blacktail Drive.
Tribal police responded with Polk County Sheriff’s Office assisting. A
female was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespass.
Friday, March 3
• One false alarm was received on Grand Ronde Road due to an error.
• Disturbance in the 23000 block of Grand Ronde Road. Tribal police re-
sponded on Yamhill County’s request. Police were able to mediate and
gave a courtesy ride to one subject so they could remove themselves
from the situation.
Saturday, March 4
• A former employee called Tribal police to report a possible menacing
that occurred in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway. Police are
investigating.
• A domestic disturbance was reported in the area of Blacktail Drive. Tribal

police responded with the assistance of Yamhill County Sheriff’s deputies
and Oregon State Police. After an investigation, a female was arrested.
• Tribal police assisted Polk County Sheriff’s deputies with a drug arrest
on Fort Hill Road.
• A citizen came to the Grand Ronde Tribal Police Station to report a ve-
hicle was stranded on Salmon River Highway on a blind corner and was
concerned that it would be struck by traffic. Polk County Sheriff’s Office
was unavailable and requested Tribal police assist. Police responded and
assisted the motorist with getting a tow truck there safely.
• Tribal police arrested a male on an outstanding arrest warrant in the 9400
block of Grand Ronde Road.
• A domestic disturbance was reported in the 27000 block of Salmon Riv-
er Highway. Tribal police responded, investigated and arrested a male
subject.
Sunday, March 5
• Tribal police were requested to assist with aggressive dogs and a death
in the 24000 block of Grand Ronde Road.
• A Tribal officer assisted an Elder with pushing their vehicle off the road
after it stalled.
• Tribal police continued to investigate drug activity in the 27000 block of
Salmon River Highway.
• Oregon State Police requested Tribal police assist with a vehicle rollover
crash on Hebo Road. Tribal police responded and assisted the driver,
who was not injured.
• False alarm in the 9500 block of Grand Ronde Road.
Monday, March 6
• A disturbance was reported in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway.
A male was arrested for attempted assault, physical harassment and
disorderly conduct.
Tuesday, March 7
• Blessing at the new Tribal Police Station. The new building was blessed
and opened for business. Tribal officers moved into and began occupancy
of the new building. The new building is located at 9655 Grand Ronde
Road, Grand Ronde.
• A county resident reported a crime to Tribal police that occurred on county
land. A report was taken and forwarded to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
• Tribal police assisted Hillsboro detectives with an investigation.
• DUII driving complaint received. Tribal police, Polk County and Yamhill
County deputies all were unable to locate the vehicle.
Wednesday, March 8
• Police continued to organize and unpack at the new building.
• Tribal police and Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call about young
children wandering on the highway. Police and deputies responded, searched
the area and were unable to locate any children on or near the highway.
• An underage female subject was caught consuming alcohol.
• A trespass complaint was received in the 9600 block of Tilixam Circle.
Police investigated and found the matter was civil and non-criminal in
nature, and gave resources for resolution to the parties involved.
• A “suspicious person” call was received in the 25000 block of Beaver
Court. Tribal police investigated and found it to be unfounded.
Thursday, March 9
• Suspicious mail received in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway.
• Tribal police assisted Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office with a juvenile com-
plaint in Willamina.
• A restraining order violation was discovered by a Tribal police officer and
a male was arrested.
• A driving complaint was received. Tribal police located the driver and
found they were not impaired.
Friday, March 10
• Tribal police assisted medics with a subject who collapsed in the area of
Blacktail Drive.
• A missing child was called in to Tribal police. Officers investigated and
located the child in Willamina.
• Officers assisted Oregon State Police with a rollover accident on Highway
18.
• Tribal police were called to the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway for
a report of juveniles left alone in a vehicle. Police investigated and found
the children were in good health and the parents were talked to.
• Yamhill County called Tribal police regarding a possible missing subject
going through Grand Ronde. Officers were unable to locate the person.
• Tribal police assisted Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle pursuit.
Saturday, March 11
• A false alarm in the 9600 block of Grand Ronde Road.
• The missing person from March 10 was located by Tribal police and in
good health.
• A driving complaint was received. Officers were unable to locate the
vehicle.
• Tribal police responded to a trespass complaint/domestic disturbance in
the 25000 block of Coyote Court. A male was arrested for criminal tres-
pass and physical harassment. A female was arrested on an outstanding
arrest warrant.
• A driving complaint was received by Tribal police via telephone, but officers
were unable to locate the vehicle.
• Tribal police responded to the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway for
a criminal mischief complaint. The matter is under investigation.
• A theft was reported in the 26000 block of Salmon River Highway. The
suspect was contacted by Tribal police and the merchandise was recov-
ered.
