Tribal Elder Kathryn Harrison gives the opening welcome at the United
Methodist Church’s 2016 General Conference held at the Oregon
Convention Center on Tuesday, May 10. General Conference is the top
policy-making body of the United Methodist Church, which convenes
once every four years and runs this year from May 10-20. Harrison was
chosen to be the opening speaker because of her lifelong service to the
Grand Ronde Tribe and her work in getting the Tribe restored. She also
is a member of the Methodist Church.
Judging Criteria:
1. Photo is theme related;
2. Photo has Emotional Impact;
3. Artistry & Quality of the photo.

Testing ofered
College Placement Testing is offered on-site at the Adult Edu-
cation Building for Chemeketa Community College, Linn-Benton
Community College and Mount Hood Community College. The
Placement Test is one of the irst steps to beginning college class-
