TRIBAL EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS ORDINANCE
OPEN FOR COMMENT
The Tribal Council, in consultation with the Tribal Attorney’s
Ofice, adopted, on an emergency basis, a proposed amendment to
the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance at the May 4, 2016, Tribal
Council meeting.
The proposed amendment provides that the TERO Commission
shall consist of at least three (3) but not more than ive (5) individuals.
Currently, the Ordinance requires appointment of ive (5) Commis-
sioners. The amendment will provide the Council some lexibility in
setting the number of Commissioners.
The Tribal Council invites comment on the proposed amendment
to the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance. For a copy of the pro-
posed amendment, please contact the Tribal Attorney’s Ofice at

Comments must be received by June 15, 2016.
Fasana appointed to
Willamina School Board
Tribal member Angela Fasana was unanimously
appointed to the Willamina School Board on Monday,
May 9, to ill the seat of Linda O’Neil, whose term has
another year to run.
Fasana was the only applicant for the vacant seat.
A 1990 Willamina High School graduate, Fasana
previously served as the Confederated Tribes of Grand
Ronde board liaison. She currently is the Tribal Court
administrator.

Her husband, Ariah, teaches at the high school and
serves as the head wrestling coach. Her daughter, Cheyanne, graduated
from Willamina High and her son, Justin, is currently a junior at the school.
Fasana ran a write-in campaign for the Willamina School Board in 2015
after the School Board balked at posting the Grand Ronde Tribal lag in
the gymnasium.
“The decision to apply for the vacant position with the Willamina School
Board was an easy one,” Fasana said. “As an alumni of the district as
well as a parent of a district student and a resident of the community, I
care deeply about the district and want to be part of ensuring a quality
education for the children of our district. I served as the Tribal liaison
to the board for approximately eight years and felt the time was right to
serve as a voting member.”

Monday though Friday with the exception of noon to 1 p.m.
