Letters
Dear Smoke Signals:
I am writing this letter in regards to my sister’s passing. I would like to
thank everyone at the Tribe.
It has been six months now that my sister has walked on. If it had not
been for her daughter, Sonia Whitefeather, and son, Travis Shaw (Tribal
members), we would have not been able to send my sister on in a good way
as she did not have arrangements made for her passing.
Because of the Tribe, we were able to have a celebration of life and a
beautiful send-off. I know my sister is looking down and smiling and wishes
to bless everyone for her celebration and services.
Again, a very warm, heartfelt blessing and thank you to everyone.
Donna Davis, Sonia Whitefeather (2937), Travis Shaw (2938),
Christine Archer and Tristin Shaw and all of our family
Stayton
Dear Smoke Signals:
A little over a year ago, I came to my Tribe to ask our craft people if
they could please contribute their beautiful handmade jewelry to a worthy
cause. I am a board member of the Willamette Valley Hospice, a nonprofit
organization that helps those in the final days of life.
We are always working on fundraising for related programs. This jewelry
sale fundraiser is for Camp Mighty Oaks, a place for young kids to go to
help with the loss of a loved one.
There are too many to list, but I wanted to take this opportunity to
thank all those who generously gave of themselves and their beautiful
craftsmanship. My people always come through when they are asked. I
am so proud of every one of them. Thank you, God bless and much love.
