Attention full-
time students
All full-time students must submit verifi cation that they have applied to
a scholarship outside the Tribe before funding will be released for the term/
semester. Verifi cation can include a scholarship award or denial letter, e-mail
verifi cation that an application was submitted, a copy of the application or the
fi nancial aid award letter that lists an outside scholarship. Please contact Ed-

Spirit Mountain Community Fund Program Coordinator Louis King,
left, hands Eldon Olsen the Ye? lan Lima Award as he is recognized
for his volunteer work with Benton County Dial-A-Bus in Corvallis on
Thursday, Dec. 17. Olsen has volunteered with the organization for
six years and in 2014 he volunteered 638 hours and drove more than
10,000 miles for Dial-A Bus.

Spirit Mountain Community Fund annually chooses two indi-
viduals to receive the Ye? lan Lima (Helping Hand) awards: one
non-management staff member and one volunteer who are recognized
for their outstanding service within the nonprofi t community. This
year, Kovi Altamirano won the staff member award for her work
as a youth development coordinator with Lines for Life in Portland
and Eldon Olsen, a volunteer with Benton County Dial-A-Bus, was
chosen to receive the volunteer award. On Thursday, Dec. 17, Com-
munity Fund Director Kathleen George and Program Coordinator
Louis King visited both to present the awards.
