ORDER RESETTING SHOW
CAUSE HEARING
MINOR NAME CHANGE
This matter came before the Court on July 7, 2015 by way of the
Court’s own motion to reset the Show Cause Hearing currently set
for July 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
On April 22, 2015, a Petition for Name Change was filed in this Court
on behalf of the above-referenced Minor. The Petitioner seeks an order
changing the name of the Minor to Amaya Rae George.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED:
1. A hearing in this matter is set for August 20, 2015 at 2:30 p.m.
2. Any parent, guardian, or relative in the first degree interested
in the matter shall appear for the hearing to show cause, if any there
be, why the Court should not enter an order granting the proposed
change of name.
3. Any parent, guardian, or relative in the first degree may file
a written objection to the proposed name change with this Court
prior to the hearing date set out above.
4. Petitioner and the Minor shall appear at the hearing.
5. If the parents are deceased, or have not consented to the Change
of Name, Petitioner shall cause a copy of this Order to be published
in the Tribal Newsletter, Smoke Signals, prior to the hearing date.
