Nineteen Native youth were among the 36 participants who earned
their Hunter’s Safety certificates on Monday and Tuesday, July 20-21,
by taking a class offered by the Tribe’s Natural Resources Department’s
Parks and Recreation Program at the Tribal gym. The class was taught
by Micky Garus and Adrian Porter from American Outdoors. The class
is required for hunters age 17 and younger before they can hunt.
Every student enrolled in the class passed their exams and received
certificates. “Well done and thank you to everyone involved,” said
Jerry Bailey, Tribal Parks and Recreation specialist.
