What is an internship?
An internship (full-time/part-time) is a real-world experience related to
your career goals and interests.
Internships can be what helps you stand out in your job interviews after
college. Most employers look for a combination of formal education and
experience. Not only are you gaining valuable hands-on experience, you
are also networking and making connections to professionals in your fu-

CTGR Higher Education
Program deadlines set
There are now only two Higher Education programs depending on whether
you are full-time or part-time.
The deadline for the Full-Time College program is at least 30 days before
the start of classes.
The deadline for the Part-Time College program is at least 10 days before
the start of class.

I MMERSION
As of May 18th, 2015 we will be accepting registration applications for interested
incoming Kindergarteners. We are a half day immersion program offering instruction
in Chinuk through our culture and place-based curriculum. Our students attend
half day in our program and must be enrolled in Willamina Elementary School as
well. No prior language experience required, however we do have language and
tribal preference once we are at capacity.
Applications are available at Youth Education and can be turned in starting May 18th

Summer Programs: June 15–July 30. The 2015 Summer
Program theme is “Every Hero Has a Story.” Activity stations
and book displays will be set up each week featuring a “hero”
theme. The Saturday Movie Time at noon will be featuring “hero”
themed titles. The schedule is:
• June 20: “The Incredibles”
• June 27: “Balto”
• July 18: “The Legends”
• July 25: “EPIC”
Reading Incentive Program: Registration is required!
Applications are available through June 12. This program is for
youths age 4 to 18. Reading Incentive begins on June 15 and ends
on July 30. The Book Buck store will open on July 13.

with Oregon State Library to offer “library to library” inter-li-
brary loan services. By completing the inter-library loan form,
library patrons may request items from the Oregon State Library
collection. Items will be couriered to and from the Tribal Library.
OSL lending policies apply for return of items.
