child welfare projects
Application Assister dates
Application assisters will be at the Grand Ronde Food Bank –iskam
mfkǚmfk haws – 9675 Grand Ronde Road on Wednesday, June 3.
They also will be at the Community Input meeting in the Grand Ronde
gymnasium at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, and in attendance during the
Family Night Out event on Thursday, June 18.
Application Assister Loretta Meneley provides outreach and educa-
tion on the Oregon Health Plan and the Affordable Care Act. She also
is available Monday through Friday at the Grand Ronde Health and
Wellness Center and can be reached at 503-879-1359. Q
PORTLAND — Volunteers are being sought for ongoing child wel-
fare projects that consist of using a checklist tool to ascertain Indian
Child Welfare Act compliance in the Multnomah County juvenile court
system. The volunteer position includes going to preliminary court

include attending hearings for ongoing active cases.
Volunteers must pass a state Department of Human Services back-
ground check, complete a volunteer application and attend a volunteer
orientation before starting. Volunteers also must have a valid Oregon
driver’s license and clean driving record.
