Gaston is the organizer of the group that is raising funds to purchase the canine police officer a bulletproof vest, which cost about $1,000. She is currently selling raffle tickets for $1 to win prizes including a Pendleton blanket, a two- night stay at Spirit Mountain Casino, dinner for two at the casino and an American Red Cross survival kit. The raffle drawing is expected to take place at the General Council meeting on Sunday, May 1, at the Community Center.
