CTGR Eula Petite Scholarship
The Eula Petite Scholarship was established and dedicated to longtime
Tribal member and educator Eula Petite and is awarded to a student in
the Education field at the graduate level. Must be postmarked by May

Tribal graduation ceremony
The CTGR Education Division Graduation Ceremony will be held
Friday, June 20, at 6 p.m. at the Tribal gym.
Dinner will be provided.
Join us as we recognize Grand Ronde students: K-2 Chinuk lan-
guage class; eighth-grade graduates; high school graduates; GED
completion; certificates/certifications and college graduates.

There are numerous scholarship opportunities offered for students to ap-
ply to each year. The majority of scholarships for fall term/semester are due
between January and April of each year. Don’t miss your chance to apply
for free money for college. The Tribal Higher Education programs are here
to assist you in your application process. You also can utilize a scholarship
search engine to help locate scholarships.
If you use a scholarship search site, be sure to read the privacy policy to
ensure you are using a site that will not sell your contact information. A

May is Get Caught Reading Month: This is a nationwide
campaign to remind people how much fun it is to read. The program
was launched in 1999 by the Association of American Publishers
to spread the word about the joys of reading.
Summer Programs: June 16 through July 31. This year’s Sum-
mer Program theme is “FIZZ, BOOM, READ!” Registration for the
Reading Incentive Program is May 5 through June 13. Reading
Incentive is for ages 4 through 17.
New items in the collection: Children’s Collection: “My Amaz-
ing Book of Dinosaurs! Pop up book.” Young Adult Collection:
“Julius Caesar — Great Dictator of Rome.” Adult Non-fiction:
“Tattoo” DVDs – 17.
Donations: Many thanks to the following contributors to the
library collection: Ed Pearsall, Terri Dilts, Courtney Terry, Joann
Mercier, the Public Affairs Department and Brian Krehbiel. We
appreciate the great additions to the library collection.
Reminder: Donated items must be clean and in good condi-
tion.
The Tribal Library is a CCRLS Circulation Site: Use your
Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Services library card
to place electronic holds on resources in the 18 partner libraries
and items will be couriered here for check out and can be checked
back in here as well.
Inter-Library loan services: The Tribal Library partners with
Oregon State Library to offer “library to library” inter-library loan
services. By completing the inter-library loan form, library patrons
may request items from the Oregon State Library collection. OSL
lending policies apply for return of items.
