Chinuk Wawa app

Mikayla Mercier is posed by Kara Thornton while being photographed
for the Chinuk Wawa language application that the Tribe’s Cultural
Education and Outreach Program is working on. Tribal members had
an opportunity to volunteer on Monday, April 28, to have their photo
taken to be part of the app. Thornton Media, owned by Thornton and
her husband, Don, is the company building the app and the photos will
accompany words in it. The app, which will be free, is being made for the
iPhone and iPad, and one for the Android operating system will follow
in 2015.

‘The Little Rascals’ on May 2
Family Movie Night will be showing “The Little Rascals Save the Day”
at 6 p.m. Friday, May 2, in the Tribal gym.
There will be door prizes, snacks, water and a healthy dessert.

Parenting Program for Parents and Youth Ages 10 - 14
Strengthening Families Program
A group for you & your youth to spend quality time together. Each evening
is interactive and fun as you learn tools to make a successful transition into
the teen years. Youth learn how to effectively negotiate and communicate
with parents and friends. While parents learn what is developmentally
appropriate for teens so they can set limits and grant privileges.

For parents AND youth 10 to 14 years old
