Smoke Signals 15
AUGUST 15, 2013
Coming of Age Ceremony meeting
As noted in the July 15 Smoke Signals, a joyous group of women
are hard at work to bring back a tradition in our culture which
hasn't occurred in more than 100 years. The first meeting was
held on July 18 at the Youth Education Building and was open
to all family members both male and female. The following is the
the date of the next meeting up until the actual Ceremony is held
Sept. 25-29, 2013. Please be aware that the meeting is open to any
female youth, adult or Elder who is committed to participating in
this amazing opportunity. The meeting will be held at the Youth
Education Building and dinner will be served. For more informa
tion, contact Lisa Leno at 503-879-1471.
