The Tina Miller Community Center Thrift Store, 110 H. St., Wil
lamina, helps fund the after-Hchcxil and weekend youth community
center located in the old high school gym.
The thrift store is seeking volunteers who can help run the store,
in addition to donated items and customers.
The store accepts clothes, books, knickknacks, etc., as donations.
It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and closed
Sunday and Monday. Donations also can he left at the Wildwood
Hotel and Restaurant in Willamina.

The youth center and thrift store are nonprofit and 100 percent
self-sustaining and volunteer-run.

Royalty participants and their parent or sponsor must attend all re
quired events (powwows, parades, fundraisers, organizational meetings
and others). Absences can be prearranged with the Royalty Coordinator.
Three unexcused absences will result in disqualification from Royalty.
Royalty participants are expected to stay for the duration of the events.
This includes helping set up for events, such as meetings and parades,
as well as dancing during Grand Entry, InterTribals and staying until
the flags are retired unless pre-approved with the Royalty Coordinator.
Participants are expected to speak in front of large groups of people.
Royalty participants must be willing and able to dance. Remember:
You are all part of a team and are expected to treat yourselves,
running mates and others with respect at all times.

Participating in Royalty Court is an excellent opportunity for Tribal girls and
young women to leam our traditions and powwow protocol. Participants rep
resent the Tribe by attending powwows and various community events.
We encourage all young woman ages 5-18 to join. Participants must
provide their regalia.
Serving on Royalty Court requires a considerable commitment from the
participant and her sponsor; travel, fundraisers, classes and meetings are
required for all competing participants.

Junior Miss Grand Ronde 9-13 years of age
Senior Miss Grand Ronde 14-18 years of age

1 . Enrolled Grand Ronde Tribal member
2. Must be alcohol and drug free

Yamhill County seeking
volunteer drivers
Yamhill County is seeking volunteer drivers to transport local
veterans to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Portland.
Volunteers are unpaid, but a meal is provided for their time.

Classes set for April, May
April will be grass dance outfit making month with classes set for 2 to 5
p.m. Monday, April 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 in Room 126 of Youth Education.
In May, there will be fancy dance and jingle dress classes on Mon
day, May 6, 13 and 20 and Sunday, May 26. (Monday, May 27, is Labor
Day.)
Classes are taught by Dara Dickinson.

Down Payment Assistance Program
The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority (GRTHA) has 2013
Down Payment Assistance available for applicants with moderate
to low incomes. Although the budget for Tribally funded Down
Payment Assistance has been committed for 2013, HUD funds may
be available for qualified Tribal applicants whose gross household
income either meets, or is less than the guidelines below:
