Tribal full-time college
winter term deadline
The Tribal Higher Education offices need your full-time college ap
plication by Dec. 7, 2012, if you would like to be eligible for winter term
full-time funding. Please note that the application needs to be received by
this date to be considered on time. You can access an application at www.
grandronde.orgdepartmentseducationhigher-education or call Education
at 503-879-2275 for an application.

College Higher Ed students
Winter termspring semester registration is right around the
corner. Don't forget we need your schedules BEFORE we can send
your funding! If you are on academic probation, we need both your
fall grades and your upcoming schedule before we can send funding.
There is not a set deadline to send in your schedule, but your fund
ing may be delayed if you do not send in your paperwork in a timely

Gates Millennium Scholarship
The Gates Millennium Scholarship program is accepting applica
tions for their 2013 application period. This scholarship is for you
if you are a high school senior, high school graduate who has not
yet started college, or a G ED studentgrad that has not yet started
college. Applicants must have at least a 3.3 GPA (no minimum
GED score) at the time of application and be beginning college Fall
2013. This is a long application but well worth the effort. Do not
wait until last minute to apply! Application deadline is Jan. 16,

Financial Aid Night Save the Date
The Tribal Higher Education programs and Willamina High School are
teaming up again to offer our annual Financial Aid Night. This event is
free and open to the public. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in
attending college Fall 2013, this event is for you! Save the date: Jan. 13,
2013 at Willamina High School. More information will come soon.
Chinuk Wawa classes offered
The Tribe's Cultural Education Department offers adult Chinuk Wawa
language classes from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday in Room
207 of the Tribal Education Building. Language classes can be taken
for college credit or for fun. For more information, call 503-879-2249 or
