Collaborative Events: We have teamed with the Sheridan and
Willamina public libraries to host several evening sessions to be held
at each of the libraries in September, October and November. The
first session, a "Meet and Greet" with local librarians, was hosted by
the Tribal Library on Thursday, Sept. 6. It was a fun and success
ful event. Sheridan Public Library hosted the second event on Sept.
13. Bobby Mercier and Brian Krehbiel presented a very interesting
Tribal history and information sharing session to those in attendance.
We also had basketry and materials display for people to handle

event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. Willamina's event
will focus on basketry. Connie Graves will provide information and

hosted by the Tribal Library from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.
The November session will include storytelling by Bobby Mercier in
coordination with Brian Krehbiel. We appreciate and want to thank
Brian Krehbiel of the Cultural Resource Department for coordinating
presenters for our library collaborative events. Brian and Bobby do
a wonderful job representing our Tribe and sharing Tribal history
and stories.
Donations: We appreciate the following contributors to the library
collection during this reporting period: Our thanks go to Monica
Tinoco and to the Elders' Activity Center. Thanks all; your donated
items have been cataloged and are shelved for circulation. Thank

New CCRELS setrvke
Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service and the Grand
Ronde Tribal Library will partner in a new project to provide ac
cess to CCRLS material through the Grand Ronde Tribal Library.
Patrons will need to have a basic or full service library card from a
member library in CCRLS. With this card they can request material
from any CCRLS library to be sent for pick up at the Grand Ronde
Tribal Library. When finished with, the material can be returned
to Grand Ronde. The Tribal Library is not becoming a member of
CCRLS, and the circulation rules of the CCRLS library will apply.
The service will be available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to
noon and from 1 to 6 p.m. Nearby CCRLS libraries are in Willamina,
Sheridan, Dallas, McMinnville and Salem.
