The Indian Child Welfare Program will be hosting a variety of events
in the month of April to promote awareness about child abuse prevention
and strengthening our Tribal families and community. Please join Indian
Child Welfare for the following events:
The Entire Month of April:
Wear your Child Abuse Prevention Blue Ribbon Lapel Pin or Lanyard to
raise community awareness. Pins and lanyards will be available at the
CTGR Social Services front desk in the Community Center during the
month of ApriL
Blue ribbon tying will take place throughout the community to promote
child abuse prevention and awareness.
The Indian Child Welfare Program will be hosting a Pinwheels for Prevention
Garden.
Pinwheels are a symbol of healthy, happy childhoods. Something every child deserves.
What is Pinwheels for Prevention? A happy and uplifting symbol being used to draw attention
from the problem of abuse and neglect to the solution of effective prevention to build a healthy
community and healthy childhoods. Chosen to represent an imagery of hope, safety, health and,
most importantly, happiness, the pinwheel signifies efforts to change the way our nation thinks
about prevention.
