American Museum of Natural
History and Tribal Internships
Applications are currently being accepted for this year's internship
program in New York City.
Eligibility is as follows:
Current high school sophomore, junior or senior (priority will be
given to sophomorejunior students);
Male Grand Ronde Tribal member who currently resides in the
state of Oregon; .
GPA of at least a 2.5 (accumulative) or 3.0 in previous term;
Good attendance record (fewer than 4 unexcused absences in the
previous term);
Good behavior (student must demonstrate maturity and good
decision-making skills students who have had any discipline
referrals in the past 3 months must submit an appeal to have her
application read).
Commitment:
Student must commit to being present throughout the entire
internship experience (June 3-23, 2012);
Student must present to the Grand Ronde community following
the trip to New York (sometime between July and September of
2012);
Student must present to the incoming internsparticipants prior
to their departure the following year (approx. May of 2013).
All portions of the completed application must be returned to
CTGR Youth Education Program by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 21,
2012.
Applications have recently been mailed using the CTGR address
database.
