Committee Summit set for Jan. 23
The 2012 Committee Summit will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday,
Jan. 23, in the Elders' Activity Center.
Committee members who plan to attend need to RSVP to Tribal Council
Executive Coordinator Brent Merrill at brent.merrillgrandronde.org or
503-879-2304 by Thursday, Jan. 12.
The breakfast will include bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, muffins,
fruit, coffee and juice. t

Happy New Year's to everyone.
I want to thank all the Elders who brought toys and blankets to the
Elders Christmas Party.
Jolanda Catabay, thank you for the karaoke entertainment and Steve
Hudson for singing also.
Michelle Alaimo, you are such a trooper with the pictures for our Elders
events! Jack Giffen Jr., thank you for being Santa on short notice for us;
love you!!
Kristy DeLoe, Kevin Campbell, Mike Burton and Misty, thank you for
cooking and baking for us.
Bonnie and staff, thank you also for your help.
Deitz and Rose Peters, thank you for decorating the Elders place this
year.
Thank you all who helped with the Elders party. You're all great.
Thank you all for coming. Hope you had a good time.
P.S. I would like to say thank you to Dean Rhodes for the beautiful
picture of grandma and I in the calendar.

Health & Wellness Center
requesting patient photo ID
The registration staff at the Grand Ronde Health & Wellness Center
began requesting patient photo ID when patients present to the clinic
on Nov. 15, 2011.
This is in an effort to reduce the risk of identity theft and fraud. Staff
will scan the ID and attach it electronically to the patient's account.
It will be referenced on future visits to ensure that services are being
provided to the proper individuals.
Patients should be prepared to present their ID when they come to
their next clinic visit. Acceptable photo ID includes driver's license,
Tribal ID or employee ID. Acceptable alternatives include Social Se
curity card, certified birth certificate or voter registration card. If the
patient is a minor, the patient's parentlegal guardian is to bring the
information listed above. B

Tribal offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2, in observance of
New Year's Day. Offices also will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16, in
observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
