Residential Energy Analyst Training
& Certification Opportunity
Are you a Tribal member, spouse, descendant or a Native American
interested in obtaining training and certification as a Residential
Energy Analyst for use in working in weatherization and energy
efficiency of homes?
Are you?
18 years of age or older;
High School Diploma or GED;
Social Security Card;
J Driver's License;
Some form of personal transportation;
Good physical and mental condition and:
be able to stand long hours and able to lift 50 pounds and have
good manual dexterity;
- be able to inspect dark crawl spaces;
Adequately read, write and comprehend English;
Basic math skills.
All applications accepted but only four will be selected through an
interview process. Preference will be given to Tribal members, their
spouses, descendants or other Native Americans in that order.
Training is planned to start the later part of July and run through
September. There are 5 courses that are from three and a half to
four and a half days long. The tuition will be paid for and a train
ing stipend provided of $8.50 an hour. Motel and mileage will be
provided where commuting distances are too long. The courses will
either be in Salem, Portland or Grand Ronde.
The training is being provided through the Northwest Research and
Training Center for Energy and Weatherization. It is being funded
through a Tribal ARRA DOE Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant
awarded to the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. To apply please
