Medicare Part B reimbursement
notice for Tribal members
If you are a Grand Ronde Tribal member, have reached the age of
retirement (65) or have started to receive Social Security Retirement
or disability benefits through Social Security (SSD), you may be eli
gible to receive Medicare Part B benefits through the Tribe.
To find out if you are eligible, or to get enrolled in Medicare Part B,
please do the following; call toll-free 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227)
or go online at www.medicare.gov. You will need to request an
application for enrollment in Medicare Part B and return it to your
local Social Security Office.
Once you are enrolled in Medicare Part B through Social Security,
you will need to call our office to request a Medicare Part B Reim
bursement packet to apply. As a Grand Ronde Tribal member, the
Tribe will reimburse your Medicare Part B premium each month at
the standard rate.
Note: If you are currently on the Skookum Tribal Health Plan it is
required that you accept Medicare Part B when you become eligible.
By not accepting Medicare Part B, your coverage for medical expenses
could be drastically reduced.

or have any questions regarding the Tribe's reimbursement program,

Summer 2011 Student Employment
Youth Crew member position
The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, in cooperation with the
Oregon Youth Conservation Corps, is looking for 16 youth to work
in a Summer Youth Crew Program.
These positions are designed and funded for the purpose of pro
viding employment experience and meaningful opportunities to
local area youth.
Youth Crew member
Start date: Monday, June 27, 2011
Duration: 7 weeks, 36 hoursweek
End date: Friday, Aug. 12, 2011
Pay: $8.50hr
Duties: Work as a member of an eight-person work crew. Projects
include trail construction, habitat enhancement, invasive species
removal and other natural resource and community enhancement
projects.
Qualifications: Must be 16-19 years of age; have the ability or
experience to safely and properly use hand tools; be in good physical
condition and able to work in rugged outdoor terrain. Interest in or
experience in working in the outdoors helpful.
Requirements: 1) Furnish own work boots. 2) Complete and pass
pre-employment background check and drug test.
Work location: Natural Resources Office, Grand Ronde. Grand
Ronde is located in the foothills of the Coast Range approximately
30 miles northwest of Salem, 25 miles southwest of McMinnville or
50 miles north of Corvallis.

Corps, is seeking two fish and wildlife internsyouth crew leaders
for its Summer Youth Crew program. This is a great opportunity
to obtain supervisory experience and practice hands-on natural
resource management techniques.
F&W Intern Youth Crew Leader position
Start date: Monday, June 13, 2011
Duration: 13 weeks, 40 hoursweek
End date: Sept. 9, 2011
Pay: $10.50-$13hr
Duties: Supervise and provide leadership to an eight-person
summer youth work crew for up to eight weeks and assist the
Fish and Wildlife Department for approximately six weeks. Proj
ects may include stream and riparian restorationenhancement,
trail maintenance and construction, native vegetation plantings,
habitat enhancement monitoring and other natural resource and
community projects.
Qualifications: Desire to work with youth andor in natural
resources. Must be in good physical condition and be able to work
in rugged outdoor terrain. Experience in the proper use of hand
tools. Good communication skills.
Requirements: Work boots, valid driver's license, safe driving
record. Must successfully complete pre-employment background
check and drug test. Week-long leadership training provided. First
aid and CPR training provided.

Duties: Schedule program tasks and activities, purchase crew
supplies and materials, organize campouts and supervise two youth
crew leaders and associated youth crews for up to 13 weeks and
assist the Fish and Wildlife Department with natural resource
projects for approximately 3 weeks.
Qualifications: Must have desire to work with youth and in
natural resources; be in good physical condition and able to work
in rugged outdoor terrain; experience with the proper use of hand
tools; good communication and organization skills. Supervisory
experience preferred.
Requirements: Furnish own work boots, valid driver's license
with a safe driving record, must successfully pass pre-employment
background check and drug test. Must be able to attend 3-day,
2-night (June 21-23, 2011) training in Bend, Ore., where first aid
and CPR training are provided.
Work location: Natural Resources Office, Grand Ronde. Grand
Ronde is located in the foothills of the Coast Range approximately
30 miles northwest of Salem, 25 miles southwest of McMinnville
or 50 miles north of Corvallis.
