Chinuk Wawa classes offered
The Tribal Cultural Education Department offers adult Chinuk
Wawa language classes from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday
in Room 207 of the Tribal Education Building. Language classes can
be taken for college credit or for fun. For more information, contact

Tribal member Daniel Mooney drains spaghetti as he helps prepare
food for the Spaghetti Feed fundraiser for Grand Ronde Royalty in the
Tribal Community Center on Thursday, April 7. The event was put on by
parents and chaperones of the royalty and Mooney's daughters. Tribal
members Amaryssa and Amelia Mooney, are 2010 princesses. Almost
$400 was raised to be used on Royalty's travel expenses.
Tribal Elder Bonnie Mercier prepares desserts to sell at the Spaghetti
Feed fundraiser for the Grand Ronde Royalty in the Tribal Community
Center on Thursday, April 7. On the left is Tribal Elder Darlene Aaron,
who also helped with the event and who has two granddaughters.
Tribal members Makenzie Aaron, who is 2010 Junior Miss Grand
Ronde, and Madison Aaron, who is a 201 0 princess, on Royalty.
Correction In the April 1 issue of Smoke Signals, in the article 'Tintype
Treasures," Tribal Elder Rosetta LaBonte Manangan was incorrectly called
a "former" Tribal Elder. She is very much still with us. Smoke Signals
regrets the error.
