Gates Millennium Scholarship
Program accepting applications
Gates Millennium Scholarships are open to all high school seniors,
as well as high school and GED graduates who will begin classes
Fall 2010. You must be Native American, African American, Asian
American or Latino to apply. This scholarship pays for 100 percent of
unmet need for college for your bachelor's degree and some master's
degrees. Applications are due Jan. 11, 2010. For more information,

College Horizons: A Pre-College Workshop
For Native American High School Students
College Horizons is a five-day "crash course" in preparing for college.
The individualized program helps students select colleges suitable for
them to apply to, get admitted to, and receive adequate financial aid.
Students research their top 10 schools; complete essays, resumes, ap
plications, and the FAFSA; receive interviewing skills and test-taking
strategies (on the ACT and SAT) and financial aidscholarship informa
tion. Eligible participants must be American Indian (enrolled members
only), Alaska Native (proof of status) or Native Hawaiian.
Who: current high school sophomores and juniors with a minimum
GPA of 3.00 (in academic courses).
Applications will be accepted on a space-available basis to May 1 (af
ter March 1, please contact us to see which site may still have spaces).
Complete program cost is $200 (includes tuition, room, meals, all ma
terials and transportation to campus from the designated airports).
Students are responsible for their own airfare, but substantial funds
are available for travel and tuition assistance (each year we award
travel assistance to over 50 of our students).

day of each month. Next session is Dec. 7, 2009, from noon
- 1 p.m. in the library. This program is for parents, grand
parents andor caregivers of babies 0-2. Please join us.
Elder's Fundraiser: Please submit your favorite
recipes to be included in a cookbook that is getting put
together to sell by the Elders Recipes can be dropped off at
the Tribal Library or the Elders' Activity Center. We will
be collecting recipes through the rest of the year. Contact:
