Lane Family reunion
The "LANE FAMILY" is holding a family reunion on Saturday, June
27, on Government Hill at the Community Center in Siletz. We
would love to see anyone and everyone that is, was or about to
be a Lane. This includes all extended family, friends, spouses,
etc. Everyone is also invited to set up camp for the weekend at

Journeys in Creativity
seeks applicants
Tribal teenagers between 15 and 19 who are interested in fine art can
apply for the Oregon College of Art & Craft's Journeys in Creativity sum
mer art camp program.
The camp is free and specifically tailored for Native American teens who
are thinking about art, art school or an art profession.
Application deadline is June 3.

Transportation to Grand Ronde
The Portland satellite office has a transportation day to Grand Ronde
once a month for medical or dental appointments or enrollment cards. A

Xavier University
accepts Tribal member
Tribal member Robert Corritore, 18,
graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral
Preparatory in San Francisco and has
been accepted to attend Xavier University
in Ohio, where he will major in business
economics with a minor in history.
Xavier is ranked among the top 10 uni
versities in the Midwest by U.S. News &
World Report, including a rank of second
in 2008.
In high school, Corritore's leadership
abilities dramatically evolved because of his
involvement in football and track and field.
He woke up at 4:30 a.m. daily to attend
football practice, which developed his
dedication. The team won its first state
championship in school history due to the
influence and dedication of the coaches.
"He has learned many valuable lessons and one is that the success an
individual achieves is measured by the amount of effort they put into it,"
says his mother, Hilary. "To this day Robert remains driven academically
thanks to his teachers and coaches who have taught him that effort is free,
so don't use it sparingly."
He is the son of Robert Wiggs and Hilary Corritore and the grandson of
Sharon Parazoo Wiggs and the great-nephew of Claudette Parazoo and
Bruce Parazoo. D
