nation of parental rights)
TO: JOHN DOE: A petition has been filed asking the court to termi
nate your parental rights to the above-name child for the purpose of
placing the child for adoption.
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PERSONALLY APPEAR before the Tribal
Court, which is located at 9615 Grand Ronde Road, Grand Ronde, Or
egon 97347, on Friday, the 20th day of March, 2009 at 1:30 p.m., to
admit or deny the allegations of the petition. IF YOU DO NOT APPEAR
PERSONALLY BEFORE THE COURT, the court may proceed in your
absence without further notice and TERMINATE YOUR PARENTAL
RIGHTS to the above-named child either ON THE DATE SPECIFIED
IN THIS SUMMONS OR ON A FUTURE DATE and may make such
orders and take such action as otherwise authorized by law.
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS: You have the right to be represented
by an attorney in this matter. If you cannot afford to hire an attorney,
and you meet the Tribe's indigent defense guidelines, an attorney may be
appointed for you at the Tribe's expense. To request appointment of an
attorney to represent you at the Tribe's expense, you must immediately
contact the Grand Ronde Tribal Court, at 503-879-2303 or toll-free at
(800) 422-0232, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for further
information. If you wish to hire an attorney, please retain one as soon
as possible and have one present at the hearing.
This summons is published pursuant to an order of the Chief Judge
of the Tribal Court, dated Feb. 5, 2009. The order directs that this sum
mons be published in two successive editions of Smoke Signals.

To hunt with the Tribal Ceremonial Deer and Elk tags you must
possess a Tribal Hunting license, and you must be able to legally
possess a firearm. All Ceremonial Hunting will be conducted under
the State hunting regulations and require the hunter to follow all
laws and regulations, and use the highest ethical standards.

once a month for medical or dental appointments or enrollment cards. A
