Grand Ronde teams captured second and third places during the sixth
annual May Madness Youth Basketball Tournament held at the Tribal
gymnasium over Memorial Day weekend.
The Grand Ronde 15 and Under Team coached by Jeff Brisbois took
second. Team members Andy Zimbrick, 15; Brent Bruckner, 15; Katie
Brisbois, 14; and Joella Smith, 15, were named to the All-Star team and
team members Mariah Brisbois, 13, and Brady Bruckner, 15, received the
Ms. and Mr. Hustle Awards, respectively.
In the 18 and Under Division, the Grand Ronde team coached by Matt
Zimbrick took third place. Team members Tygem Butler, 18, Zack Edwards,
18, and Kim Roybal, 14, were named to the All-Star team.
In the 1 1 and Under Division, Grand Ronde team members Brody Bruck
ner, 10, and Kyoni Mercier, 10, were named to the All-Star team.
Teams from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada and Montana partici
pated in this year's tournament. H

to the granting of the petition shall appear in the Tribal Court of
the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon,
located at 9615 Grand Ronde Road, Grand Ronde, Oregon on, June
11, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. to show cause why the Court should not
enter judgment granting the proposed change of name.
The Clerk of the Tribal Court shall cause a copy of this Order to
be served upon all parties in accordance with the Rules of Pleading,
Practice and Procedure of the Tribal Court of the Confederated
Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon.

Sheridan Days will occur Thursday, June 19, through Sunday, June 22,
in downtown Sheridan.
The schedule of events begins with a carnival at Sheridan High School
from 3 to 11 p.m. Thursday.
Events on Friday run from noon to 11 a.m. and include an art show and
carnival at the high school, chicken barbecue at Yamhill County Real Es
tate and vendors in the downtown area and at the high school. A Junior
Parade begins at 6 p.m. at the City Park and ends at the high school.
On Saturday, a pancake breakfast starts things off at 6 a.m. at Trinity
Lutheran Church and events continue through the day until 11 p.m. The
Grand Parade is set for 6 p.m. and runs from FaulconerChapman Middle
School to the City Park.
On Sunday, events run from noon to 6 p.m.
