Tribal Elder and Black Bear Lodge resident Bill Simmons refused to stay
Inside on Friday, March 28, when a late-season snow storm blanketed Grand
Ronde and forced closure of the Governance Center. Simmons is known for
always willing to do what he can to keep active. He grabbed a shovel and
helped clear the snow from around the Elder lodges.
