The workshops will be taught by Northwest Computer Learning Center
and will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the computer lab in the Adult Education
Building. Cost for a workshop is $150 and eligible Tribal members can ap
ply to the Noncredit Program (formally Short Term Training) for assistance
with registration costs. Space is limited to the first 15 who register.

LIBRARY HOURS:
Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
(closed Monday - Friday 12-1 p.m.)
Saturday: 1 0 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Book Club: Book Club will only meet one time per month. Book
Club will be held on the second Saturday of the month from noon
- 1 p.m. in the library as follows: Dec. 8.
Poetry Recital Reading: The Poetry group will continue to
meet on the second Wednesday of the month from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in
the Tribal Library (Note time change) as follows: Dec. 12.
Saturday Activity: For K-3rd grade youth is held on the third
Saturday in December due to the holidays as follows: Dec. 15.
Volunteer recruitment: The Tribal Library is currently accept
ing applications from people interested in serving as a volunteer
in the library. Volunteer service varies from circulation duties to
assisting with special exhibits or events. The library is currently
seeking a volunteer who enjoys working with people and can provide
basic computer tutoring for beginner users and who is interested
in facilitating book clubs or children activity sessions. If interested,
please contact the library in person or call ext. 1488.

Graduation Sponsorship Program is available to Grand Ronde Tribal
members who are graduating from a high school, collegeuniversity or
tradeapprenticeship program. The program will pay up to $100 towards
graduation expenses (cap, gown andor announcements).
Admission and Testing Fee Assistance Program is available to
Grand Ronde Tribal members who are applying for admission to colleges
and universities or are in need of testing fee assistance for college, level
testing (SAT, ACT, GRE, etc.). The program will pay up to $200 towards
admission and testing fees per academic year.

leges and universities.

June 28-July 2, 2008 Lawrence University, Appleton, Wis.
College Horizons is a five-day "crash course" in preparing for college.
Expert college counselors, teamed with college admissions officers, will
help you:
Select colleges suitable for you, complete winning applications and write
memorable essays, learn what turns an applicant into an admitted
student, become a test-prep "whiz kid," and find your way through the
financial aidscholarship jungle.
Colleges and universities represented will include (but are not limited
to): Harvard University, Dartmouth College, Cornell University, Co
lumbia University, Princeton University, Stanford University and Yale
University.
Complete program cost is $150 (includes tuition, room, meals and trans
portation to campus from the airport.) There are some stipends available
for airfare and tuition assistance if you apply early.
