Tribal Library Open House

Education Manager April Campbell and daughter Kiona participate
in activities during the Tribal Library Open House held on Saturday,
April 21. The Tribe's Culture Department were also on-hand to
demonstrate how to use the Culture website.
Summer Youth Employment Prep Night
Who: Youth wanting to participate in SYE 2007 (Tribal Youth 14-17)
What: Learn about SYE, fill out the application, practice interview skills,
apply for available jobs, and complete a mandatory orientation.
When: May 16, 2007 5:30pm until 8:00pm (Dinner will start at 5:30)
Where: Youth Education Building
Why: IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL YOUTH WANTING TO PARTICI

Help With Applications
Grand Ronde HeadStartPreschool will be offering assistance filling out
applications for the upcoming school year. We will be offering one lunch
and two evening sessions:
Tuesday, May 29, 12-1 p.m. and 5:30-7 p.m. in room 126 in the Adult
Education Building
Wednesday, May 30, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Early Childhood Education
Building.
Food will be provided at each session.
K-5 Summer Program Appliations Now Available
K-5 Summer Program applications for vacancies will become available
April 23rd. Applications will be available at the front desks of the Adult
Education and Youth Education buildings and must be received by a staff
member at the Youth Education building no later than 5 p.m., May 4.

applications must be turned in by 5 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2007.
Selection will take place Monday, July 30.

American Bank Summer Intern
Native American Bank has an immediate opening for a summer intern
in Denver, Colorado. This position will assist the President and CEO
and other department managers in the training areas of administration,
commercial underwriting, lending, credit administration, operations, and
finance.
Applicants must be college juniors majoring in business (six credit hours
of accounting and three credit hours of finance), and a GPA of 3.0. Start
date is June 4 and end date is August 31.
Compensation is $2350 per month.

What is Konaway?
Konaway is an 8 day academy that introduces Higher education oppor
tunities to Native Youth and empowers them for success. The students
stay at Southern Oregon University while they participate in interactive
classes, take part in fun activities and build lasting relationships with
other Native youth.
Who should apply?
Students with at least a 2.5 GPA, who are going into 7th grade through
graduated high school seniors, should apply.
Returning students who have completed 11th or 12th grades can apply
as Junior Counselors.
Students who have completed at least one year of college are encouraged
to apply as Senior counselors. (Paid Position)
Konaway is also accepting applications for Native American instruc
tors in the areas of Math, English or Writing, Science and Culture. (Paid
position)
