On Wednesday, October 1 1, the Education Department hosted an open house, made
education materials available and also opened all of the buildings to the public. Teriyaki
Chicken was the main course for dinner.

On the weekend of October 13-15, the Youth Education Department took
four students camping at Wychus Creek, Crooked River National Grassland.
Pictured here are Biologist Jeff ry Gottfried, Linfield intern with Educational
Recreational Adventures Angela Henderson, Kerrina Grout, Julian Rock, Molly
Mathews and Shylee Mercier. The trip was made possible through a grant
from Spirit Mountain Community Fund.

A Earlier this month, the West Valley Fire Department made a visit to the HeadStartPreschool to
teach the students about fire prevention and safety. They also let the students use the fire hose.
