Dear Smoke Signals, I want to thank everyone involved with my wife Diane's memorial service here in Grand Ronde. It was quite an honoring for her. She was the kind of person, who always gave of herself. She wasn't about her. She loved be ing of service and she loved serving "her" Veterans. I want to thank the drummers and all the Veterans who participated in her service. I want to thank the speakers who talked about Diane and shared their memo ries of her. I really appreciated those bikers (Veteran's Motorcycle Club) they were exceptional. Our whole family appreciated the respect shown to Diane and her efforts to help people. She always felt at home out here in Grand Ronde. I would like to thank everyone involved in allowing her service to be out here. And I want to thank all the Veterans and people who showed up out here. Thank you, Tom Cilenti. Dear Smoke Signals, On June 28, 2006, Eagle Beak Singers Bobby Mercier, Richard Sohappy and Travis Mercier voluntarily performed at the 2006 Annual Pow-wow held for the inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution in Sheridan, Oregon. I wanted to congratulate the families and the Tribe for raising these three men; their good will was a credit and honor to you all. Thank you. Sincerely, Tyler K.
