Hosts At the "Power of Giving" conference held June 26-27 at the Spirit Mountain Casino, donor organizations met with non-profits and others seeking funding.
With the goal of strengthening philanthropy in Indian Country, the conference brought together some very important players in the world of philanthropy. In photo

Home Again Tribal Elder and former Chairwoman Kathryn Harrison,
who is the great niece of "Molalla Kate", was special guest at the 4th
of July parade in Molalla. There were an anticipated 20,000 spectators
present. Also on the float were Molalla Mayor Mike Clarke and grandkids.

Chinese Society Earlier this summer, four
Chinese folklorists visited the Tribe as part of a
program put on by Willamette University. They
were all board members of the China folklore
society as well as professors at Beijing University,
Beijing Normal University and China Academy
of Social Sciences. Here, Dr. Liu Kuili and Dr. Xiao
Fang take a look at the many Smoke Signals
honors. Juwen Zhang of Willamette University
organized the tour of Grand Ronde.
