wo Da) M'de Tanning Workshop
On June 1 and 2 the Cultural Resources Department is sponsoring a class
for those interested in learning hide tanning. Margaret Matthewson will
present a comprehensive course on the tanning of hides including, bear,
buffalo, deer and a variety of small mammals.
The course will begin on Thursday, June 1 and run from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
(later if weather permits). Friday, June 2 will be an all-day, hands-on op
portunity to produce a finished hide.
There is no cost for the class and materials will be provided. Times are
subject to change.
