Applications will be available as units are completed. Interest lists for
the open market rental units are presently limited to enrolled members of
the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon.

Two and three bedroom units will be available in summer 2006, other
size units by the fall of 2006.
NEW Chxi Musam Illihi Low-Income Rentals
Low-income families will also have 36 more rental units available from 1
to 5 bedroom size, upon the completion of this new phase of family housing
development in late 2006. Rents for these units will be 30 of adjusted
household income, and income limits apply. Call the Housing Author
ity for an application that will place you on the waiting list. Per HUD

Tribal Housing To Offer Trainings & Financial Skills
Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority is pleased to be able
to offer Homebuyer Trainings and Financial Skills classes to
Tribal members.
Financial Skills Trainings consist of four 2 hour class
sessions and will be held on the following schedule.
Tuesdays; May 2, 9, 16, 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Tuesdays; June 6, 13, 20, 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Fridays; July 7, 14, 21, 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Tuesdays; September 12, 19, 26, Oct. 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesdays; October 31, Nov. 7, 14, 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The above classes will be held at the Housing Authority.
The Financial Skills trainings will be presented in the Portland
Office on Fridays; April 21, 28, May 5, 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
with a potluck lunch
Homebuyer Training consists of three 3 hour class ses
sions and will be held on the following schedule.
Thursdays; May 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursdays; June 8, 15, 22, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Tuesdays; July 11, 18, 25, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Tuesdays; September 12, 19, 26, from 9 a.m. to noon
These classes will be held at the Housing Authority.

Jessie Adreana "Beans" Hedgecock

Tribal Elder Jessie Adreana "Beans"
Hedgecock of McMinnville passed
away at home Friday, March 31, 2006.
She was 65. Born in Prineville on
October 5, 1940 she was the daughter
of Charles and Bertha (Cunningham)
Jackson.
Her family moved to Aberdeen,
Washington, Corvallis, Grand Ronde,
and McMinnville by turn during
childhood. After graduation from
McMinnville High School in 1958, she
moved to Portland.
She married Jerry Hedgecock on November 15, 1965 in Van
couver, Washington. They settled in Longview, Washington.
A master crafter, she also enjoyed painting and traveling
in her motor home. She had been traveling for the past three
years. -
She was very proud of her grandson. Terrin Ray Hedgecock,
who is serving in the U.S. Army.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jeffery
of Walla Walla, Washington; two daughters, Jenny Hedgecock
of Eugene and Jackie Massey of Longview, Washington; a
brother Robert Jackson of Portland; a sister, Charlotte Oberg
of Gaston; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brother, David Chambers
and Charles Wright; and two sisters, Florence Norby and
Clara Spreadborough.

for Tribal members acquire the necessary education, experience
and skills to perform positions of leadership and responsibility for

Casino Operations Mentorship Program
Program Purpose
The purpose of the Spirit Mountain Casino Mentorship Program
is to offer a Mentorship Program providing a relevant learning ex
perience for selected applicants who have identified specific fields of
interest in Spirit Mountain Casino operations. The program focus
is to create an opportunity for eligible members of the Confeder
ated Tribes of Grand Ronde to gain exposure to and gain skills and
experience in a customer-focused business setting.
Program Goals
The objectives of the Mentoring Program are to:
Enhance participants skills and knowledge base
Promote diversity of thought and style
Provide an opportunity to transfer knowledge
Improve individual motivation, performance and innovation
Increase visibility and gain exposure to SMC's values, relation
ships and business
Prerequisites
Participation in the Mentorship Program requires that the indi
vidual must:
