I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to all community members who's
kindness gave our family the sorely needed support after the death of my daugh
ter, Mario George. To all of the kitchen helpers, you went beyond the bounds of
duty with the wonderful lunch you prepared. Thank you to you and all your help.

Dear Smoke Signals,
Thank you for the the 2006 Tribal Calendar. It is very much appreci
ated. Some of the highlights that I appreciate are all of the wonderful pic
tures; being able to receive the calendar before the new year started; hav
ing a December 2005, as well as a January 2007 page; the picture of Tribal
Elder Nora Kimsey; the inclusion of the Tribe's Vision Statement and the
Story of the Tribe and much, much more.
Maybe in the future you might consider including a historic picture for
the month of November, which is our Restoration month.

Shelly Kent, Central Phone Operator, eat Indian Tacos on Tuesday, January
1 0 at the Grand Ronde Community Center. The fundraiser attracted over 50
people and the proceeds went to the Gary LaChance family.
