Family Night, Wednesday, November 17
Reminder: Family Night is on Wednesday, November 17, from 5:30
7:30 p.m. Please come and enjoy cultural activities with your family. Din

Parent Committee Meeting, November 18
The Youth Education and K-12 programs will have a Parent Commit
tee meeting on November 18, 12-1 p.m., in the Youth Education building.

Miss Native American Pacific
Northwest Pageant
The Miss Native American Pacific Northwest Pageant is designed to be
a scholarship program which helps young Native American women to
complete their education in their chosen field. Please consider entering
the pageant if you are: between the ages of 17 and 24, have never been
married, are enrolled in a college or university or plan to continue your
secondary education, a resident of Oregon, Washington or Idaho, an en
rolled member of a federally recognized Tribe and have never been con
victed of any criminal offense and there are no criminal charges presently
pending against you.
Application deadline is March 1, 2005. For an application or for

Shawna. Applications are also available at the CTGR Scholarship Office.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS-SAT's
If you haven't taken the SATs for college, you need to do so. Save
your receipt and the Education Division can reimburse you the cost
for this test. To sign up go to this website www.collegeboard.com. I
also have practice tests available for your use to help prepare you for
the SATs. Last testing date before it changes with an added writing
section is January 22. You will need to sign up by December
20. If you have any questions please call Rachel Warner, College
Career Counselor at 503-879-1478.
Attention All Higher Education &
Adult Vocational Training Students:
If you will be a new or returning student Fall 2005, don't forget to apply
for the 2005-2006 Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA). Applica
tions will be available in December online at www.fafsa.ed.gov and at
any college, university or library. It is a requirement for all Higher Edu
cation and Adult Vocational Training Program students to apply for the
FAFSA.
Remember, never pay to have a FAFSA completed or submitted. It is
free. If you need help filling out your FAFSA, please contact your finan
cial aid office, high school counselor or the Tribe's Education Department
at 1-800-422-0232 ext 2275 or 503-879-2275.
Gates Millennium Scholarship
Applications are available for the 2005 Gates Millennium Scholar
ship (GMS). This scholarship is open to anyone who has not yet
attended college after high school or GED completion, is Pell Grant
eligible and demonstrates leadership abilities. The GMS is renew
able for up to 9 years! For more information please call the American

ARTISTS WITHOUT BARRIERS
Who, What: A Non-Profit Organization has been set up to teach chil
dren art. We charge $15 a month for art lessons, all supplies included.
We take children ages 5 to 16 years old. Lessons include, drawing, pencil,
pen, ink, watercolor, acrylic, goush (a water base) and some calligraphy.
Where: Grand Ronde Church and Willamina Church
When: Mondays at Grand Ronde 1-3 p.m. Mondays at Willamina 4-6
p.m.
Teacher is Richard Fenwick. Our goal is to reach as many children as
