Holmes Family Cemetery Information
This is to remind everyone that the Holmes family cemetery is a pri
vate cemetery.
As such, control and decisions regarding this cemetery are the sole
responsibility of the family appointed managercaretaker. Merle
Holmes has been the family managercaretaker for some time. Before
his passing, he transferred this responsibility to me, Mel Holmes.
I can be reached at 503-363-2543 to discuss all activities and issues
regarding the regarding the cemetery prior to any action being taken.
This includes the sensitive issue of burials. Other issues regularly
encountered that need to be discussed include gravesite location, the
type of flora planted within the cemetery, and the removal of non
biodegradable decorations.
My intention is to continue the basic management philosophy of our
family and recently departed Uncle Merle. My hope is that the natu
ral beauty of the cemetery and surrounding area can be maintained
with cooperation of all parties.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
