Dear Editor,
I am writing in reference to the November 1 issue of the Smoke Signals.
In it there is a story about a beautiful young lady named Amanda Shulte.
She was stricken from birth by a heart problem called Eisenmenger Syn
drome. They were having a benefit to help her family with expenses.
, I just want to say that this is a grand thing you are doing. Since I have
read your story, I have burned cedar, sage, sweetgrass and tobacco, send
ing special prayers to the Creator for this young lady and her family.
I'm a member for a spiritual circle in a Texas prison. It is a strong circle
and Amanda and her family have been in our hearts and in our prayers.
Sincerely,
Danny A. Harris, Sr.
Gatesville, Texas
Dear Smoke Signals,
I would like to thank everyone that prayed for me during my two back
surgeries at OHSU in Portland. A special thank you to Cliff Adams and
Cassandra Scott. I would like everyone to know that I am home and on
the road to recovery.
Sincerely,
Veronica Gaston
