A van will be provided for transport at 1110 Alder Street, Portland
at 7:45 a.m. However, anyone needing transportation please contact
your caseworker.
No client is excused from this meeting unless you and your case
worker have signed an agreement for other arrangements. If you fail
to attend your case may be closed.

H Nominations for the Elders' Commitee will be on December 7, 2003
at the General Council Meeting. Elder Committee You must be
present to accept the nomination.
H Elders' Bingo Party December 8 at the Tribal Community
Center. Please bring a dessert to share and a unwrapped gift for a
disadvantaged child.
B Elders' Christmas Dinner December 18, 2003 from 6 to 9 p.m. It
will be held at Spirit Mountain Casino. Deadline to sign up for this
dinner is December 1. You must call for yourself to reserve a place for
you and your spouse. If you think someone signed you up, please call
to confirm your attendance. Call 503-879-2019 for this event.
D Elders' Shopping Trip December 15, 2003. Departure time will
be at 10 a.m. from the Grand Ronde Community Center. Return to
Grand Ronde at 5 p.m. Lunch on your own. People going on the trips
will determine the shopping destination. Call 503-879-2019 if you
have questions.
B An Elder Survey will come in the mail before the first of the year. It
will ask for insurance information, if you have done long term heath
care planning, the type of long care arrangements that you may be
interested in, etc. Please take time to fill the survey out as it will help
with the Tribe's planning agenda and the priorities.
B Basket Making Class will take place after the first of the year as
everyone is busy now with holiday plans.
B Tribal Jackets for the Elders fact finding on price, colors, materi
als and styles is still in the works. The goal for the design of the
jackets is to be done in the spring of 2004. When completed the de
sign and cost information will be available to the Tribal Elders.

Big Check Volunteers from the Grand Ronde Community Resource Center
and Food Bank were in Lincoln City on Thursday, November 13 to receive a
$5,000 check from the Siletz Charitable Contribution Fund. The fund gave away
over $136,000 to 32 different organizations that night. Volunteers Marvin Kimsey

accept the check on behalf of the Food Bank from Charitable Fund Committee
members Mike Holden and Cheryl Lane (center).

The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority (GRTHA) desires to
contract for landscape maintenance located in Grand Ronde, Oregon:
CHXI MUSAM ILLIHI is a Family Rental Housing Subdivision.
Proposals must be mailed with post marks dated no later than De
cember 1 to GRTHA, 9615 Grand Ronde Road, Grand Ronde, Or
egon 97347 or delivered no later than 4 p.m., December 2, 2003 to
GRTHA, 28450 Tyee Road, Grand Ronde. A 5 percent Indian allow
ance will be given to Indian contractors. Contact the Authority at
503-879-2401 for further information or a proposal packet.
